Piaggio Aero enters Russian market

Piaggio Aero signs partnership agreement with Aviacharter to explore Russian Federation market while undergoing Russian Certification on P180 Avanti II.

Italian Business Aviation Manufacturer, Piaggio Aero announced today its entry into the important Russian Business Aviation market during the Jet Expo the Business Aviation Air Show at Moscow’s Vnukonovo airport (15 -17 September).

Piaggio Aero enters Russian market with P180 Avanti II

The company announced, as part of its market expansion program, that it is currently seeking Russian Certification for its world renowned P.180 Avanti II aircraft and that they would begin sales deliveries in April/May 2011, upon completion of the aircraft’s certification.

Piaggio Aero also announced that they have reached agreement with Aviacharter to become a partner for the Sales and Marketing activities of the P180 Avanti II aircraft in Russia. Aviacharter is also the first Piaggio Aero customer in the Country having already signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to buy two P.180 Avanti II as soon as the aircraft’s Russian certification is attained.

The Piaggio Aero P180 Avanti II is the world’s fastest turboprop aircraft with an outstanding performance and specification for the Russian market. It has a maximum speed of 402kts /745kph and a range of just under 1500 nautical miles, and is well suited to both long and short distance trips and a wide variety of runways.
Its full stand up cabin, the biggest in its class of mid size jets and twin turboprops by far, provides an airy, comfortable and serene flight for its passengers aided by its low cabin noise and sea level pressurization. Besides its own unique and impressive capabilities, the Piaggio P180 Avanti II is also the only aircraft to proudly display the legendary "prancing horse" livery of the Scuderia Ferrari, due to it being the chosen business aircraft of the Ferrari Racing Team.

Piaggio Aero will be displaying the Piaggio P180 Avanti II aircraft at the JET EXPO show in Moscow September 15th -17th, at the Vnukovo Airport Static Display, number 20.

The expertise of the staff and, the reputation of a reliable partner became the major factor in the merger of “Intourist” in January 2006.
